Plans and limits

Acme offers several plans. Each plan sets the limits — your “entitlements” — for how many workspaces you can create, how many team members are included, how many AI tokens you get each month, and whether the API is available.

There are four plans, from smallest to largest:

  • Free — get started with the basics.
  • Starter — for individuals and small teams.
  • Professional — for growing businesses.
  • Enterprise — for large organizations with advanced needs.

Every paid plan can be billed monthly or yearly. Yearly billing is offered at a discount compared with paying month to month. See Upgrade or change your plan for how to switch plans or billing intervals.

The limits below are what differ between plans. Higher plans raise each limit.

Each plan caps how many workspaces you can have in your organization:

  • Free — a single workspace.
  • Starter — a small number of workspaces.
  • Professional — many workspaces.
  • Enterprise — unlimited workspaces.

If you try to downgrade to a plan whose workspace limit is below the number of workspaces you currently have, Acme blocks the change until you remove the extras. See Delete a workspace.

Each plan includes a number of free team members — seats covered by your base price:

  • Free — no additional team members (just you).
  • Starter, Professional, Enterprise — an increasing number of included members, with Enterprise including the most.

You can invite more members than your plan includes. Members beyond your free allowance are billed as extra seats at a per-member price set by your plan, added to your subscription automatically. The breakdown of free vs. paid members is shown on your subscription card under Settings → Billing.

As with workspaces, downgrading to a plan whose included-member limit is below your current member count is blocked until you remove members. See Remove a member and Invite members.

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of AI tokens used by AI features in the app:

  • Free — a small monthly allowance.
  • Starter, Professional, Enterprise — progressively larger allowances, with Enterprise including the most.

The allowance resets each month. To remove the cap entirely, you can connect your own AI provider key — see Bring your own AI key and Using AI.

The API is available on the Enterprise plan. On other plans, API access is not included. Once you’re on a plan with API access, you can create tokens under Settings → Developer — see Create an API token.

  1. Sign in to Acme as the organization owner.
  2. Go to Settings → Billing.

Your current plan, billing interval, member breakdown, and included features are shown at the top of the page. The plans you can switch to are listed below it.
