Subscription statuses
Your subscription always has a status that tells you where it stands with billing. You’ll see it as a badge on your subscription card under Settings → Billing. This page explains each status and what it means for your access.
The statuses
Section titled “The statuses”Active
Section titled “Active”Your subscription is in good standing and billing is current. You have full access to everything your plan includes, and your card is charged automatically at each renewal. The card also shows your next billing date.
Your subscription is in a free trial. You have access to the plan’s features, and you won’t be charged until the trial ends — at which point it converts to a paid, active subscription. The card shows when your trial ends. You can change plans during a trial without restarting it — see Upgrade or change your plan.
Past due
Section titled “Past due”A payment failed, so your subscription is past due. A Payment Failed notice appears at the top of Settings → Billing with an option to update your payment method. Update your card so billing can resume and your subscription returns to active — see Payment method.
Canceled
Section titled “Canceled”Your subscription has been canceled and won’t renew. You keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period; after that, your organization moves to the Free plan. While a cancellation is pending, you can change your mind and resume — see Cancel your subscription.
Other states you may see
Section titled “Other states you may see”Some situations show their own notice on the subscription card, in addition to the status badge:
- Cancellation Scheduled — you canceled, and your subscription is set to end on a specific date. You keep access until then, and you can Resume Subscription to undo it before that date.
- Downgrade Scheduled — you chose a lower plan that takes effect at your next renewal. You stay on your current plan until then, and you can select Keep Current Plan to cancel the downgrade. See Upgrade or change your plan.
