Manage active sessions

A session is created each time you sign in to Acme on a device or browser. Your security settings list every active session so you can see where you’re signed in and sign out any device you no longer use or don’t recognize.

  1. Sign in to Acme.
  2. Go to Settings → Security.
  3. Find the Active Sessions section.

Each session shows what’s known about it:

  • A device or session name.
  • When it was last active.
  • The IP address it was seen from, when available.

The session you’re using right now is labelled Current.

Revoking a session signs that device out immediately.

  1. In the Active Sessions section, find the session you want to end.
  2. Select Revoke next to it.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

The session disappears from the list and that device is signed out the next time it tries to use the app.

If a session looks unfamiliar, treat it as a sign your account may be compromised:

  1. Revoke the unrecognized session right away.
  2. Change your password — this also signs out every other session.
  3. If you haven’t already, set up two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection.
